Embolisation materials are useful for interventional radiologists (IR) to manage different clinical scenarios in both elective and emergency settings.
Using simulation of the clinical case, trainees can gain understanding and confidence in embolization techniques by training in a safe learning environment that allows them to develop skills without patient risk.
This course is designed for junior interventional radiologists to understand the role of embolization options for different circumstances. They able to fine-tune their practical skills in handling different embolization materials such as gelfoam, particles, coils, glue and EVOH injection.
Different models will provide different degrees of embolization difficulties such as scaffolding of coils and balloon assisted EVOH occlusion.
